Jsoft Solutions embarks on aggressive growth

Jsoft Solutions, a part of the $12-billion JSW Group, is on an aggressive growth path through organic and inorganic routes, by doubling headcount and acquiring sizeable real estate properties.

Jsoft Chief Executive Officer Krishnakumar said on Friday that the company is trying to carve out its own identity in the IT space with topline IT services like manufacturing execution systems, manufacturing intelligence and custom ERP development.“Right now, we have a headcount of around 300 people.

Our understanding of the manufacturing space and diligent handling of IT issues for client manufacturing companies has helped us gain a foothold within a short span of time,” he said.

Jsoft is trying to create and benchmark IT practices for the new age manufacturing era, Krishnakumar said. Its products and services range from shop floor to top floor, namely ERP, infrastructure and managed services and manufacturing solutions.

“Operating in a niche space creates a lot of value and credibility; however, at the same time, it does lead to a lot of expectations cropping up from the industry,” says Krishnakumar. The company presently has a client base in the midsized categories and boasts of top clients like Toyota and Marubeni in service delivery and client management.

On the company’s investment plans going ahead, Krishnakumar said, “Most of our investments in real estate are expected to help us hike our capacity-building initiatives. We are also scouting for acquisitions as part of our inorganic growth strategy,” he said.

Social enterprise

Moving out of the fast-paced bottomline-driven space, Jsoft is also evolving as a consultant in the social enterprise space where it has helped JSW Foundation and leading CSR companies set up rural BPO units based on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model.

Despite being a young company which started operations in 2007, Jsoft has won the SAP ACE Award, Global Sourcing Council 3S Awards in New York and Nasscom Social Innovation Honours Awards.
