Council Chairman Veeranna Mathikatti and Chief Minister Yeddyurappa felicitated the members, who were elected from the local authorities constituencies six years ago at a function organised in Vidhana Soudha. These members including Leader of Opposition V S Ugrappa are retiring on January 5.
Three nominated members, Mallajamma, Prakash Rathod and Chandrashekar Kambar, retiring on January 20, were also felicitated on the occasion.
Seven among the 24 members retiring have been re-elected during the recent polls.s
