Star's ashes immersed in Cauvery

Emotions ran high even as the members went through rituals as most members broke down often, and were consoled by others.

The actor’s wife Bharati, who looked composed on Wednesday at the actor’s cremation, looked completely shaken through the last rituals.

The family members along with Bharati Vishnuvardhan arrived in a tempo traveller around 4.45 pm at Nanjundeshwara temple near the Wellesley Bridge and conducted the last rituals. She was accompanied by their daughters Keerthi and Chandana, son-in-laws Aniruddh and Venugopal. Vishnu’s brother Ravi and his son Sridhar.

Sridhar carried the pot containing the ashes and immersed into the cauvery after following the rituals after 5 pm. A team of priests led by Chandramouli from Bangalore conducted the rituals according to Badaga Brahmana tradition.

Sanchayanam homa, Smashana Vedikaradhane and other rituals were carried out. After this, actor’s wife Bharati and all relatives offered Tarpana.
Veteran actor Shivaram, actor Saurav, Dr Bhaskar of Vikram Hospital were present.
