City bus services in other districts

Transport Minister R Ramalinga Reddy on Tuesday reiterated that city bus services would be introduced soon in the remaining districts in the State.

Replying to queries, Reddy said 15 districts had been brought under the city bus network till date.

Orders have been placed for 2,000 buses, including 800 buses for city bus routes alone, he added.

Reddy also confirmed that the Marco Polo buses, which were causing a huge loss to the transport corporation in Bengaluru and Mysuru, would be withdrawn soon.
