<p>A 22-year-old woman has alleged that she was raped by a man working with the SDM’s office in outer Delhi’s Kanjhawala. The accused has been arrested, police said on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The victim is a resident of north Delhi’s Rani Bagh. She claimed that she had met the accused while looking for a loan under a government scheme. She had contacted Uttam Nagar-resident Arvind through a common friend.<br /><br />It is alleged that Arvind assured her that he would help her get a loan and told her to meet at a house in Rohini sector 11. On Wednesday, she went to the house where she was offered a cold drink. “The drink was allegedly laced with sedatives as the woman lost consciousness,” said a police officer.<br /><br />When she regained her senses, she found that she had been raped. She reported the matter with Prashant Vihar police station on which a case was filed. Her medical examination was conducted at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, which confirmed sexual assault.<br /><br />Police have arrested Arvind. He told police that the house in Rohini belongs to a relative. However, he refused to have raped the woman and claimed that she had misbehaved with him at the SDM’s office.<br /><br />Student raped<br />A Delhi University student alleged that she was raped on the pretext of marriage. A case has been filed with Sarita Vihar police station in south-east Delhi.<br /><br />Police said the girl is a student of Miranda House College and lives with her family in south Delhi’s Saket. She alleged that she was raped by 25-year-old Rohan who lives in south-east Delhi’s Jamia Nagar. Rohan is a third-year BTech student and his father is a junior engineer with New Delhi Municipal Council.<br /><br />“The girl claims that she became friends with Rohan around six months back on Facebook,” said a police officer. She accused him of establishing physical relationship claiming that he would marry her.<br /><br />Recently, Rohan began ignoring her on which she went to Sarita Vihar police station on Thursday. A case was filed, but no arrest has been made so far. Police said Rohan was absconding.<br /></p>
