Carpenter held for assault

The Chandra Layout police arrested a man for attempting to murder his friend on Friday night. The suspect was identified as Kumar, a carpenter.

According to the police, Kumar and Mutturaj are friends. Mutturaj works at a fair price shop in Nayandahalli and stays in the same locality.

Kumar, who came to Mutturaj’s house a week ago, was staying with him. Kumar stabbed Mutturaj on Friday night and fled after robbing him of his ring and cash.Manhunt

The house owner spotted Mutturaj crying for help and rushed him to a nearby hospital. The owner called in the police who launched a manhunt and arrested Kumar early Saturday morning.
