Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Social Welfare Minister H Anjaneya, on Tuesday, favoured talks with the aggrieved parties to find a solution to the raging issue over a section of students belonging to upper castes refusing mid-day meals prepared by a dalit cook at the government higher primary school at Kuppegala in the taluk. But, the duo didn’t walk the talk. They have so far not visited the village.

Reacting to media queries, upon their arrival at Hotel Lalith Mahal Palace helipad in the city, the chief minister said: “I will hold talks with both the parties. Whether it is happening in my constituency or another place, it should not happen.”

However, the duo did not visit the village, even though they attended the inauguration of the new building of the government high school at Puttegowdanahundi on T Narsipur main road, nine km from Kuppegala.
