Novelty is Sharan’s forte. In all his projects, he has always managed to arouse a lot of curiosity. The latest teaser of film ‘Rajarajendra’ has Sharan dressed in extremely bright coloured clothes. However, it’s not repulsive. In fact, it makes you want to know more about his character. Sharan says that it’s the character that made him sign on the dotted line.

The shooting for ‘Rajarajendra’ is on in full swing and Sharan says the film is a thriller-comedy. “It’s by far a comedy but we’ve added a few elements of thriller and suspense. There are plenty of twists and turns in the film to keep the anticipation running high,” says Sharan.

Interestingly, there is a song in the film that has been scripted around all the legendary actors who’ve played villains in the Kannada film industry. “I don’t want to give away too much about the song but this one is a tribute to them,” he states.

Sharan has chosen all his projects rather carefully and attributes this choosy nature to his strong background in theatre. “Acting was not my cup of tea, and I still think that I was not cut out to be an actor. A lot of things fell in line giving me the right opportunities and I couldn’t say no to the kind of roles that were coming my way,” says Sharan.

Talking more about the different roles he has played, Sharan shares that the different looks in all his projects are not to grab extra attention or create unnecessary hype. “Each look has a strong point and something substantial to convey.

There are many shades to each of the characters I’ve played so far and it was taxing to play each one to perfection. But I’ve enjoyed discovering the many sides of my personality,” he says.

Sharan points out that people have seen him play contrasting roles in ‘Victory’, ‘Adyaksha, ‘Rambo’ and ‘Smt Jayalalitha’. “I am known for comedy and people will get to see the best of my comedy in ‘Rajarajendra.’ It’s a wholesome entertainer,” he states.

Sharan has also started working on his next project, ‘Bullet Bassya.’ “The title of every film grabs a lot of attention. I chose the title ‘Bullet Bassya’ and am thrilled that we already have people sitting up and taking notice,” he signs off.
