Bengaluru brings back a lot of memories for actress Shraddha Kapoor. She visited the City as a child and says that she almost enrolled in an international school in the City but things didn't work out as planned when her over possessive father refused to part with his little girl.

“We almost finalised the admissions here in the City but thanks to my over possessive father I had to cancel the whole thing. I tried convincing him but things didn't work out but later I managed to get him to agree to send me for my higher education to Boston,” Shraddha tells ‘Metrolife’ when she was in the City recently for the 'Blenders Pride Fashion Tour.'

Shraddha made her acting debut in ‘Teen Patti’ which didn’t serve as the perfect launchpad. It was ‘Aashiqui 2’, the sequel of ‘Aashiqui’, that truly launched Shraddha into the world of stardom. It was after her role as a small town girl making it big in ‘Aashiqui 2’ that a lot of people began complimenting her about having an unpretentious and dreamy look about her.

“I wonder why people think that way. I always try to be myself on screen and I always have directors reminding me that I am an actress and that I should behave like one. I enjoy whatever I do and that happiness reflects through and through,” she confesses.

Shraddha doesn’t believe in being choosy with projects just yet but prefers to experiment with as many characters as possible. “I want to play as many different roles as I can in this lifetime. As an actor, you get to meet so many different people and play such contrasting roles,” she states.

Shraddha is looking forward to completing ‘ABCD2' where she is cast opposite Varun Dhawan. She states that she always wanted to do a full-fledged dance film ever since she began her career but never got a chance.

When an offer for ‘ABCD2’ came by, she didn't think twice before signing on the dotted line. Shraddha feels it is tough to match Varun Dhawan's dance moves. “It would be an understatement to call Varun a good dancer, he's a brilliant one,” she adds.

She also thinks there’s a certain infectious energy when actor-director Prabhu Deva is around on the sets of ‘ABCD2’. “He’s such a big star yet such a humble and warm-hearted person,” she signs off
