Mollick goal powers Bengal past Mizoram

Mollick scored the winner for Bengal in the 50th minute in the Group B match . Mizoram had a golden chance to restore parity in the 83rd minute but Laldam Puia’s drive was saved on the goalline by Bengal captain Raj Ghosh.

In another match, Orissa split points with Manipur after a 1-1 draw. M Sudhir Ranjan put Manipur in front in the 64th minute while Somanath Naik equalised for Orissa in the 87th minute.

Meanwhile, the organisers, after consulting with the AIFF, have rescheduled Monday’s crucial Group A quarterfinal league matches between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and Jharkhand and Punjab. These matches will now be played simultaneously at 3.30 pm on Monday at the MV stadium and Agricultural ground respectively.  Karnataka and Jharkhand have three points each from their two matches and Monday’s matches will decide who will go into the semifinals from Group A.
