Young hacker trains cops in tackling cyber-crime cases

He failed in class eight but this 21-year-old ethical hacker is now training cops in cracking cyber-crime cases and helping big export houses in securing their vital data from online theft.

A cyber security expert, Ludhiana-based Trishneet Arora has imparted training to cops of Punjab Police, Gujarat Police, giving them tips on how to solve cyber-crime cases including online fraudulence.

With no family background in computers, Arora found his own company in 2012, which is into providing security to the corporate against any network vulnerabilities and data theft.

"During my lecture to cops, I throw light on crime happening in cyber space. I help them to understand the case pertaining to cyber-crimes so they could take required steps as early as possible to crack the same," Arora told PTI here.

He is a regular visitor to Punjab Police Academy, located at Phillaur in Punjab and teaches them about cyber-crimes.

"I also help them in developing a syllabus for cops as part of the training of police officials in cyber-crime," he claims.

Punjab's Inspector General of Police-cum-Additional Director, Punjab Police Academy (PPA), Phillaur, L K Yadav said, Arora had been a great help for the academy.

"Trishneet regularly comes here and imparts training with regard to cyberspace as he has vast knowledge about his subject. There is no doubt that he has been a great help. He also helps us in framing the syllabus for our trainees," Yadav said.

"It has always been PPA's effort that there should be a systematic study of cyber crime and cyber forensic and for the understanding of these subjects, we invite institutional experts and experts in individual capacities like Trishneet Arora," Yadav said.

"I taught them about mobile forensic wherein they could learn about retrieving information already deleted from mobile," he said.

Punjab government bestowed a 'State Award' upon Arora on the 65th Republic Day.
Arora has already offered training to employees of some of the corporate giants.

He has now turned his company's focus on providing specialised services to corporates called Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) as he has seen an increase in number of cases wherein portals of companies are hacked for stealing vital information which can be dangerous for the sustainability of a company in competitive environment.
