Dubai unveils multiple entry cruise visa

The Dubai Department for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) on Thursday announced that the Emirate of Dubai has introduced a multiple entry visa for cruise tourists covering a duration of one month, which is expected to attract considerable number of travelers from India.

Addressing delegates at the the Dubai Cruise Industry Roadshow here, DTCM Executive Director Hamad M bin Mejren said, “Though tourism is a large industry in Dubai, the cruise component is relatively new, but is now well developing into an important sector of the emirate’s tourism business.”

“This year, in order to boost the cruise industry in Dubai, we came up with the multiple entry visa for cruise tourists, which will be valid for a month. This will boost cruise tourism, besides taking Dubai up in the tourism chart. Besides Germany, the US and Italy, we are looking at tourist inflows from India and China too” bin Mejren added.
