Decomposed body found

A youth was found murdered at a house in Vadderahalli under Vidyaranyapura police station limits on Saturday.

The highly decomposed body of Brijesh, 24, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was found in a water drum at the residence of Mary and Sachin. The police suspect the couple’s involvement as they are absconding. Brijesh came to Bengaluru two years ago and was employed at a private printing firm owned by his relative Vasu.

Mary hails from Jharkhand and Sachin, a carpenter, from Bihar. The incident came to light on Saturday after Vasu lodged a missing complaint with the police. Vasu grew suspicious as Brijesh did not come for work for four days. When enquired at the factory, he was told Brijesh was absent without prior information.

He then went to Brijesh’s house, but found it locked, police said. Neighbours informed him they had noticed Brijesh going to Mary’s house three days ago.  On arriving at Mary’s locked house, he sensed foul smell emanating from inside.  The police, on being alerted, rushed to break open the door, and found Brijesh’s body floating in the drum.

Brijesh had sustained massive injuries on his forehead.
A hammer was used to murder Brijesh. Police suspect old rivalry as cause for the murder.
