Miscreants ransack mobile shop

The Subramanyanagar police said, the shop situated on 5th Cross corner, is owned by Eshwar Gowda who had requested his father, seventy-year-old Gangadhar, to take care of the business as he had gone to visit an auditor. Around 12.10 pm, three youth equipped with lethal weapons came in an auto and asked for Eshwar. The old man, who is hard of hearing, took time to reply. Within no time, the gang attacked and injured him. They left the place after breaking window panes and ransacking the shop.

Preliminary investigations revealed old rivalry as the cause for the attack. Eshwar Gowda is the president of Jai Karnataka, Rajajinagar II Stage wing. Similar incidents were reported in Prakash Nagar and Gayatri Nagar.

Youth murdered

A youth was hacked to death, near his Mukerkotedinne house in Anekal on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Chandra (26). Police said that around 7 pm, some youth came to Chandra’s house asking for him. They added that Chandra was last seen engrossed in a conversation with the youth at distance from his house. However, hours later, Chandra was seen lying in a pool of blood with his head smashed, police added.
