Indeed, ‘Land of the Giants’ is a funky and upbeat band with an extraordinary energy on stage that makes them a hit in the party circuit. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Their ‘head-banging’ music has also made them popular at music festivals. The band performed in the City recently and will also be taking the stage at Windmills Craftworks on New Year’s eve.<br /><br />The five-piece band from Plymouth in Devon, UK, consists of Andrew Quick on vocals and guitars, Gazlepage on the trombone, Sam Copp on the lead guitar, Kevin Greep on the drums, Glynlepage on the flugelhorn and Tomogilvie on bass. <br /><br />The members of the band are highly excited to be performing in the City and are looking forward to their stay here.<br /><br /> “Bengaluru is an amazing city. It’s serene and peaceful. The music scene in the City is very happening which is brilliant for a music-lover like me,” says Glynlepage. What really strikes them about Indian music is the fusion of Eastern and Western music. <br /><br />“I like the fact that traditional Indian music is beautifully blended into English music. The combination of Indian classical and English music has a unique touch and is very soothing on the ears. Music is as vast as an ocean and there is a lot to explore and experiment,” says Kevin.<br /><br />The members take inspiration from the people they meet and the environment they live in. “Music is an inspiration in itself. We love what we do and try to seek inspiration from everything we do,” says Sam. The band is known for the different instruments it plays and informs that it was not a conscious decision but something that happened organically. “We all are like a family. Our bond with each other and music is unbreakable and we do what feels right,” says Andrew. <br /><br />For Glynlepage, the biggest challenge has been balancing his passion with family. “We are so engrossed in music that sparing time for our family has become a challenge. Balancing music and life is what have to fight for on an everyday basis.” <br /><br />This year has been the most fun for the band. In 2015, the artistes will be writing more original songs and coming out with a new album. They also plan to tour a lot of countries. <br /><br /></p>
