<p>Controversial right-wing outfit Sri Ram Sena today demanded the creation of a "separate Jammu state" while alleging discrimination against the area in the hands of Kashmir-based leaders.<br /><br /></p>.<p>"We are not in favor of the trifurcation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, but the circumstances created by the Kashmiri leaders have compelled us to raise such a demand," Rajiv Mahajan, state chief of Shri Ram Sena, said in a statement here.<br /><br />He alleged that Jammu region faced discrimination under the leadership of Kashmir-based leaders, who ignore the region.<br /><br />"In the past six decades, Jammu region has faced all types of discrimination forcing the people of Jammu to demand for a separate Jammu state," he said.<br /><br />The state where the assembly elections were held recently, gave a fractured mandate. PDP emerged as the single largest party in the results announced on December 23 while BJP was a close second with 25 seats.<br /><br />Omar Abdullah-led National Conference (NC) won 15 seats followed by Congress, which bagged 12 seats.</p>
