<p>Four people died when a lorry rammed a stationary Maruti van and a two-wheeler near the Seebi temple on National Highway-4 at Kallambella in Sira taluk of the district on Wednesday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The incident occurred when the lorry, coming from Tumakuru, rammed the van which had been parked on the roadside for replacing a punctured tyre and the two-wheeler which was moving slowly in front of it.<br /><br />The deceased are: Sendilkumar and Varadaraju, the occupants of the Maruti van, who died on the spot and <br /><br />Shivaprasad, 25, of Chikkaianapalya in Gubbi taluk and Jnanesh of Bengaluru - who were travelling on the two-wheeler and who died at the district hospital in Tumakuru. <br /><br />Sendilkumar and Varadaraju were dealers in mosquito repellants hailing from Tamil Nadu and residing in Bengaluru. <br /><br />They were on their way to Sira. The Kallambella police have registered a case and are investigating.<br /><br /><br /></p>
