<p>A 20-year-old youth was arrested by Jeevan Bhima Nagar police on Friday for allegedly raping a 40-year-old woman.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to police, the arrested has been identified as Kishore, a resident of Old Airport Road. He was working as drinking water can supplier. On Friday night, Kishore found the victim, a ragpicker from Tamil Nadu, going alone near his house. <br /><br />He pounced on her, took her to a secluded place and assaulted her sexually. The woman raised an alarm which alerted the nearby residents. They thrashed Kishore before handing him over police.<br /><br />A medical examination confirmed sexual assault, police said. Kishore has been remanded in judicial custody.</p>
