Huge response to DH- PV contest

Around 1,300 children and adults took part in the Deccan Herald-Prajavani Painting Contest, organised as part of Chitra Santhe. The theme of the contest was ‘Future India’ and several prizes were given away.

In the junior category (5-12 years), the first prize was bagged by Pragathi Y P. The winner in senior category (13-17 years) was Apeksha Pai and Shilpa S won the first place in adult category (above 18 years).

The second prize was given to Nruthyan S and Aditya Kolavi in the junior category, Anil Kumar H B and Rohit Belvikar in the senior category and to Ravi Nayak and Basavaraj L D in the adult category.

The third place went to Mohith C K, Kiran D and Aditi Mukundh in juniors, Maunashree B J, Pooja S and Hrithik Shridhar in seniors, Vasanth Kumar, Sanju G Y Das and Chandrakant D in the adult category.

There were several consolation prizes announced. In the junior category, the prizes went to Ronit R, Sanhita S R, Purvi Hegde, Sahana S and Ashwin K. Among the seniors, Revathi M S, Shrujan P, Suketh K S, P S Shravan Kumar and Arun Kumar P bagged consolation prizes. In the 18 years and above category, the consolation prizes were given to Impana R, Asha Chandrashekar, Megha Baverkar, P Mahalingam and C Pandiyan.
