Vedike demands termination of proposal to ban vehicles on Car street

Forwarding the memorandum, the Vedike expressed concern over the inconveniences that crop up due to the banning of vehicles on Car Street. The traders, street vendors, pedestrians, vehicle owners and devotees are all troubled with the idea and the proposal will generate lots of complications and nuisances, the memorandum read. Responding to the memorandum, the DC said that the proposal has already been passed and it is due to be implemented shortly. Hence, there is no question of dropping the issue. A meeting will be called in a couple of days to discuss the inconveniences meted out, she said and asked the activists to discuss the problems in the meet.

Stubborn over their demand, the Vedike activists urged that the meet should be called to discuss the relevance of the execution of the proposal. There is no need to discuss or find solutions to the problems, they reiterated. The DC said that the matter will be discussed in the meeting held for the purpose, whatsoever the issue is.
