PM's wife visits sister's house in Hubli

Gurusharan Kaur flew into Hubli from Mumbai in a scheduled Kingfisher flight, and was driven to her sister’s house in a car, under SPG cover.

Dhaman Singh Kaur, daughter of Manmohan Singh, also accompanied her mother.
The Kingfisher flight carrying them from Mumbai, landed in Hubli at 2:45 pm, and the VVIPs came to Kohli’s residence at Vidyanagar directly from the airport.

Prime minister’s wife and daughter will stay in the City on Friday, and will leave for Mumbai by Kingfisher flight on Saturday morning, and for Delhi later.

Sources close to Kohlis told Deccan Herald that Gurusharan Kaur grew sad as soon as she entered the residence of Kohlis. She recalled her childhood days spent with her younger sister, sources added.

Owns automobile shop

The Kohlis are residents of Hubli since many years. Harnam Singh Kohli, husband of Harpreet Kaur Kohli, runs an automobile shop here. His family includes three sons and a daughter.

Due to the arrival of prime minister’s wife, tight security has been arranged near the residence of Kohlis at Vidyanagar here. The prime minister’s wife and daughter are staying at the VVIP room at the inspection bungalow here.
