HAUTE STYLE : Pairing it

Bold and the beautiful
Designed for women, ‘Styletag’ has a myriad options for them to dress up from head to toe. Sanjay Shroff, founder and director, ‘Styletag’, says the team of designers keep pace with the dynamic nature of fashion trends, both global and local.

“We try to provide a wide spectrum in terms of style. Our aim is to offer as many fashionable and affordable styles as possible, catering to all the seasonal trends and fads,” explains Sanjay.

The brand stocks everything from Indian to Western wear. There is a bright range of short skirts, pants, dresses and tops to choose from. Sanjay points out that the cut is important.

“The cut is an essential part of our garments as it enhances the fitting, styling and overall design. We have noticed that design, in terms of patterns and prints, hugely impacts a consumer’s decision. One complements the other,” he adds.

Sanjay thinks the trick to make any garment look attractive depends on how it is worn and accessorised. “Apart from an excellent fit, the two other important things that make a garment look great are intelligent styling and the confidence to carry it off,” he says.

‘Styletag’ is apt for those above the age of 20. “The brand has a wide customer base which includes students and working women as well. There’s something for both the categories and every occasion,” he reasons.

Sanjay feels accessorising the outfits plays a crucial part in enhancing the look of the garment. “There are primarily two ways to pick the right accessories for an outfit. If the outfit is on the plain side, then one must try to pick quirky and colourful accessories. But if the outfit is bold, the accessories must be contrasting. Always attempt to strike a balance,” he says.

The clothes are reasonably priced and Sanjay says that other private labels like Vero Couture and Amithi do well to extend the choice for consumers.
