The flagship event of the Post Graduate Department of Business Administration of St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT), St Aloysius College (Autonomous) took off on vibrant note at the star-studded inaugural in Aurthur Shenoi Memorial Auditorium at AIMIT, Beeri on Wednesday.

Speaking after inaugurating the two-day national-level B-School fest ‘INSIGNIA – 2015,’ Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim called upon the students to be next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. Citing the prominence of Mangaluru as a city of innovators and entrepreneurs on the global arena, he beckoned the gathering to embrace the future with innovative thinking.

Foradian Technology Co-founder and Director Arun Ravindran, also the alumnus of the Aloysian MBA Department, added glitz to the curtain raiser of Insignia – 15 as the guest of honor. In his message, he enumerated the traits of innovators and stressed on the need for innovation to survive in the world of business today.

MBA Programme Chairman Fr (Dr) Oswald Mascarenhas gave a bird’s eye view of ‘Insignia-2015’, focusing on the theme “Exploring Breakthrough Innovations & Innovators”. He called upon the students to think from an Integrated Business Management (IBM) approach, than focusing on silos of compartmentalized HR, finance and marketing.

Presiding over the programme, St Aloysius Institutions Rector Fr Denzil Lobo SJ summed up the message of the honoured guests and invited the students to think differently and venture on unchartered seas to explore new possibilities.

‘Creo,’ the annual magazine of the department was released during the occasion. Teams from several B-Schools across the India are taking part the two-day events.
