'Street life' photo expo from February 7-10

‘Street life’, an exhibition of photos by lensman Muhammed Anwar will be held at Talent Auditorium near Kochin Bakery, in Kankanadi, from February 7 to 10.

The exhibition will be held in association with Talent Research Foundation, coastaldigest.com, M Friends Mangaluru and Team Ahlan organisations. 

Briefing reporters, in Mangaluru, on Wednesday, organiser Rashid Vittal said as many as 100 select black and white photos captured by photojournalist Anwar will be displayed at the expo. The lensman has captured various facets of life at the streets. The photographs to be featured at the exhibition include ‘Unknown destiny,’ ‘Back to home,’ ‘The rage,’ ‘Morning Raga’ and ‘Weaving’.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader on February 7 at 10 am, Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim will preside over, Mangalore Press Club President Ramakrishna R and Vishwas Bava Builders Association MD Abdul Rauf Puthige will be the chief guest, he said. 

Photojournalist Muhammed Anwar, a native of Mangaluru, started out as freelance writer and switched to photojournalism later. Anwar is more keen on capturing human emotions and day to day realities. Childhood vision, facets of life, enigmas of nature and society have been the major subjects of his photography. 

Anwar is also a poet and has been the recipient of various awards including Attimabbe Sahitya Prashasthi-2009. He has several books to his credit.
