Dr K K Achary has been appointed as acting vice-chancellor of Mangalore University by Governor H R Bhardwaj.
Achary, is the senior-most dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, in Mangalore University.
According to an official notification, the appointment has been made pursuant to the expiry of the term of incumbent Dr K M Kaveriappa on 11 January 2010.
