<p>Dr K K Achary has been appointed as acting vice-chancellor of Mangalore University by Governor H R Bhardwaj. <br /><br />Achary, is the senior-most dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, in Mangalore University. <br /><br />According to an official notification, the appointment has been made pursuant to the expiry of the term of incumbent Dr K M Kaveriappa on 11 January 2010.</p>
