Probe begins in Hospet

 
The government has ordered the inquiry against Range Forest Officer Satyanarayana and assistant forest officer Srinivas, who allegedly prevented the IBM officials from conducting the survey. Following a protest, the Union Government had written a strongly-worded letter to the state government.

Sharma collected information from IBM team members Rammohan and Selvan and also from Satyanaranaya and Srinivas. Meanwhile, the survey work in the Gunda forest continued. The HC had asked the IBM to submit a report on illegal mining in the area.
