An Irish delight

Want a taste of Ireland this Valentine’s Day without the unearthly expenses? Head over to ‘Blimey’ in 1MG Mall, an Irish gastro pub, for a special dinner.

The eatery has tailor-made a special three-course menu for the occasion. DJ Jeff will play some R&B and commercial tunes. 

 One can choose and create their own special menu for the evening from a feast that has been planned out. Diners will be allowed to select one item from each section (soup, salad, main course etc.) They can also order the dishes of their choice a la carte.

The soups have a tasty selection which includes ‘corn-n-chilli tangy broth’ and ‘beef ’n lamb mince broth’. The salads include ‘green apple walnut salad with blue cheese dressing’ and ‘roasted chicken salad with honey mustard’. The starters include  ‘potato, leeks confit tarts’, ‘fried chick peas ravioli’, ‘grilled halloumi cheese with apricot’, ‘chicken ragout tarts’, ‘pork meat balls in peri-peri or BBQ sauce’ and ‘pan fried chilli garlic prawns’.

The main course includes ‘potato gnocchi with bell pepper and haricot beans in herbs sauce’, ‘artichokes, marinated baby onions, bell pepper and fresh mozzarella’, ‘chicken supreme and char-grilled vegetable, basil and mozzarella’ and ‘beef steak crusted with cracked peppercorns served with pommes frits’. There are desserts like red velvet cake, mix berry cheese cake and chocolate soufflé.
