The victim, Gangaraju, is said to be critical. Police said that an Omni vehicle stopped in front of his house and one of the occupants stepped out to enquire about some address. When the constable approached him, the others seated inside the vehicle attacked him and stabbed him in the back.
One killed in accident
Puttamade Gowda (45), of KP Agrahara, was killed on the spot when he was run over by a four-wheeler near Binny Mill in Chikkapet traffic police limits on Saturday morning. The driver absconded leaving the vehicle on the spot.
