Puducherry-M'lore weekly express from tomorrow

According to a press release issued by Southern Railways, the inaugural special, Train No 06044 will leave Mahe at 4.45 pm on January 11 and arrive at Puducherry at 06.30 hrs. the next day.

However, the regular service of Train No 6044/6043 Mangalore – Puducherry – Mangalore Weekly Express will commence from Puducherry on January 12 and from Mangalore on January 18.

Train No. 6044 Mangalore – Puducherry Weekly Express will leave Mangalore at 4 pm on Mondays and arrive at Puducherry at 8 am on Tuesdays. Train No. 6043 Puducherry – Mangalore Weekly Express will leave Puducherry at 4.35 pm on Tuesdays and arrive at Mangalore at 9.05 am on Wednesdays. The composition of the trains will be one First AC cum AC 2-tier, one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class, four General Second Class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.  The trains will stop at Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalassery, Mahe, Vadakara, Kozhikkode, Tirur, Shoranur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem Jn., Salem Town, Attur, Chinnasalem, Vriddhachalam and Villupuram. Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on January 10.        

Subsequently timings of Train No. 2685 Chennai- Mangalore Super Fast Express (6 days a week) is revised to timings as given in brackets against each stations with effect January 14. Chennai Central (5 pm), Katpady (6.45 pm), Morappur (8.40 pm), Salem (9.40 pm), Erode (10.40 pm), Tiruppur (11.25 pm), Podhanur (12.15 am), Palakkad (1.15 am), Shoranur (2.25 am), Tirur (3.10 am), Kozhikode (4.25 am), Vatakara (5.10 am), Thalasseri (5.35 am), Kannur (6.35 am), Payyannur (6.50 am), Khanangad (7.25 am), Kasaragod (7.50 am) and Mangalore Central at 9.05 am, the release added.
