JOIN USThe government is likely to order a high level investigation into the substandard works, the financial mess and tax evasion in the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.
According to the government sources, a few weeks ago, the Transport and District in charge minister Ramalinga Reddy had written a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah pointing to the large scale irregularities and misappropriation of funds. He had stated that substandard asphalting of road, messy disposal of waste, irregularities in the advertisements and tendering, maladministration, embezzlement and many other irregularities warrant a thorough investigation. Sources said Siddaramaiah too has given his consent for a probe into the irregularities and in a day or two, the Urban Development Department may issue the notice.
