In a record of sorts, Budget sessions of two state assemblies will begin and end on the same premises here from Saturday.
The Budget sessions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State legislative assemblies will commence with the customary address by Governor E S L Narasimhan.
As both sessions will have to begin with the Governor’s address, he will address both Houses of AP at 8:55 am and then address both Houses of Telangana at 11 am. The Telangana Budget may be presented on March 11 and that of Andhra Pradesh on March 12.
However, the business advisory committee will meet on Saturday after the initial session finalises the dates. Governments of both the states would be presenting their first full budget post bifurcation.
Speakers of both the Houses had a series of meetings to resolve logistical issues.
