<p>A person has been arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a four-year-old girl, here on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The accused has been identified as Puneeth, a resident of the town. Police sources said, Puneeth had taken the girl to a secluded place from her anganwadi centre and tried to rape her. He was caught red-handed by people and handed over to the police when the girl screamed.<br /><br />Belur police have registered a case. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.<br /><br /></p>
