A 28-year-old man who had earlier worked as a driver with a call centre has been arrested with 40 kilo marijuana, police said on Wednesday.

He had been transporting the drugs in a Ford Icon car.

The total worth of the drugs in the international market is estimated to be Rs 22 lakh. They were found stacked in two plastic bags.

Tip-off
Yogender was nabbed on Narela Industrial Area Road in north Delhi after police learnt that a gang supplying marijuana to retailers in Delhi and Haryana would be arriving with a large stock.

Forced to quit
Yogender was employed with a Gurgaon-based call centre till he was forced to quit the job following an accident a few months ago.

He then came in contact with a drug dealer who offered to pay him commission for delivering the contraband to traffickers in the city, police alleged.
