Court work likely to be affected on Monday

The functioning of all the courts in the State, including the High Court, is likely to be affected on Monday as the Bar Council of India has sought solidarity from advocates across the country to abstain from work on March 16 (Monday) condemning the killing of an advocate by policeman in Allahabad court premises recently.

The decision was taken after consulting all the state Bar Councils, said a press release. The Bar Council of India has demanded for immediate arrest of the culprit and to hold judicial inquiry within two months.
