Three foreign students arrested

Three foreign students, who had continued to stay in the city, despite the expiry of their visa, were taken into custody by Viajayanagar Police, in the city, on Saturday.

The students have been identified as Mohammed Harun and Zahir, citizens of Afghanisthan, and Mortaza, a citizen of Iran.

While the term of Harun’s visa, a student of Mahajana College had expired in May 2014, Zahir’s visa had expired in August 2014 itself. Mortaza’s visa had expired in the month of June last year.

Despite the expiry of visa, the students had continued to stay in the city.
The students were arrested recently and have been sent to judicial custody.
