Chinnara Mela to focus on 'Land, Water'

Chinnara Mela the annual summer camp organised by Rangayana theatre repertory in the city, this time will focus on the significance of ‘Nela Jala’ (Land and Water). Addressing media here on Friday, Rangayana Director H Janardhan said the camp will be held from April 10 to May 4. The focus is on making children enjoy the camp to the hilt free from the shackles of regular academic activities.

The activities will be conducted with a touch of folklore including story telling, adages, natural sounds, forest tour and also plays among others.

The camp in its 17th year has been focussing on various topics every year. Children in the age group of seven to 14 years are eligible for the camp. The applications will be issued from April 2,10 am onwards at the ticket counter of the repertory. The application fee is Rs 50 and the camp fee is Rs 1,800. The last date to return the duly filled in applications along with the recent two passport size photos along with the photocopy of the birth certificate, is April 7.
