It was a night of ‘engineering jamming’, as 37 students came forward to participate in the ‘Hack night’. The event was recently held at Yogisthaan Cafe, Indiranagar and saw the participation of students from CMRIT and RV College of Engineering.    The event started at 6 pm and went on till 10 am, where students built a number of innovativeprojects.

The students organised themselves into groups and most of them came into the cafe, buzzing with ideas and armed with tools, where they set up their space in the cafe. The students built and deployed their applications on IBM Bluemix cloud service.

Some of the most innovative projects were an application built for the blind to make booking systems easier, a robotic arm made by two students from RV College of Engineering and several other data system applications.

The objective of the event was to bridge the gap between knowledge and skills. The students will now showcase their projects to IBM.
