After the success of the superhero science fiction movie Krissh, film-maker Rakesh Roshan had planned a hugely ambitious sequel to the film that would have certainly raised the bar when it came to sci-fi flicks in India. But after watching the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar, the Indian director is definitely having second thoughts about making the sequel.

Rakesh Roshan doesn’t deny the fact that Avatar has indeed forced him to hold his plans to make Krissh 3.

“I saw the film in Los Angeles. And it certainly made me sit up and rethink about Krissh. But I don’t think it is impossible to create effects on par with Hollywood. We need to budget Krissh 3 intelligently,” he said.

With jaw-dropping special effects of Avatar that were completed on an enormous budget using the latest technology, noted Bollywood film-makers like Rakesh Roshan have been rethinking the making of sci-fi movies that can measure up to this Hollywood blockbuster.
Says a source, “Hrithik is not sure about the feasibility of the Krissh series any more. Not after James Cameron’s Avatar. He wants the project to go through a budgetary scrutiny to see whether they can create effects comparable with Hollywood’s Avatar.
Otherwise what is the point?”

It looks like James Cameron’s Avatar has indeed brought in a cinematic revolution across the globe, raising audience expectations to a whole new level!
