With increasing online economic activities such as retail, travel, tourism, food and beverages, eCommerce has emerged as India’s new sunrise industry, set to cross around $16 billion in business by the end of 2015, according to an Assocham-Deloitte study, released on Wednesday.
The study, ‘Future of eCommerce: Uncovering Innovation’, says that the digital commerce market in India has grown steadily from $4.4 billion in 2010 to $13.6 billion in 2014 and likely to touch $16 billion on the back of growing internet population and increased online shoppers.
