Police said three persons –– Nagaraj, Krishnappa and Shankar, had fought with Diwakar (19), a first year B.Com student at BS College, while playing cricket three days ago. On Thursday night, the trio came near Diwakar’s house and asked him to come out. They then took him to a desolate place and allegedly attacked him with a lethal weapon and fled. The police have launched a search operation.
Car stolen
Three unidentified men robbed a person of his car, early Friday morning in the Siddapura police limits.
L Surendranath and his wife, residents of Jayanagar 2nd Block, were returning home after a morning walk, when two persons, aged between 25 to 30, came in two bikes and overtook them near South Gate and directed Surendranath to stop the car. They picked up a quarrel with him alleging that their car had brushed against their bike and demanded compensation.
One of them threatened the couple at knife point while the other snatched the car key. They forced the couple to come out of the car and one of them drove away the car, while the other fled on the bike.
