The company has posted a net profit of Rs 196.03 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 238.36 crore for the same quarter last fiscal, showing a drop of 17.65 per cent. Ultratech Cement’s total income rose to Rs 1,681.76 crore versus Rs 1,651.16 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2008. Meanwhile, the Boardhas approved the merger of Samruddhi Cement with the company.
