'Give inner reservation to Madigas'

The Madiga Dandora will soon protest against the Sadashiva Commission which from the past 4 years has not bothered to conduct census of castes coming under Schedule Caste. He urged people belonging to the community to identify themselves as Madigas and to fight over their rights.

Markandeya swamiji who spoke on the occasion said that Madiga as a caste had a history of 5,000 years and since then the people of the caste were oppressed socially, politically and economically. He said that government should immediately implement inner reservation for Madigas in the existing reservation policy.

Madiga Dandora working secretary M V Raghavendraswamy, General Secretary  Narasimhalu, district president J S Manjunath, Kemparaju, Paramesh, Guruswamaiah, Lakshmidevi and others were present on the occasion.
