Power generation down at RTPS

The power generation at the eighth unit of the Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS) has been suspended for two days from Tuesday to facilitate maintenance work.

RTPS Managing Director C Venugopal said that the production at seventh unit will also be suspended two days later for maintenance. He said that the power generation at RTPS has been brought down since the catchment areas of hydel projects were receiving good rains and also on account of significant wind power generation.
