The college awarded the best students for academic as well as co-curricular excellence in all streams.

Said Sister Louisa, the Principal of the Jyoti Nivas PU College, “The College Day is held at the end of the academic year.” She added, “It’s a day when we present reports on the academic and non academic events that have taken place through out the year. The parents are invited as well and informed about their children’s performances.”

The students of the college admitted that it was one of the best events ever. “It was brilliant,” exclaimed Tara, a student of the second PUC, who is also the Sports Secretary of the college. “Every year, we wait for the College Day as we can do anything we want.”

Being a part of the college drama club Nexus, Tara was also one of the performers. The club enacted a unique adaptation of a fairy tale in a creative and realistic manner. “We put up a 25-minute long drama,” she informed. “It was a great event, full of
performances, speeches and awards.”

Trishika, another student of second PUC, will always cherish the day as she got an award for being the ‘Best Outstanding Student in Commerce’. “It was really special,” she said. As a member of the dance team of the college, Trishika was part of a dance as well. “The College Day is one of the year’s most awaited days, and we prepared a lot for it,” she admitted.
Speaking of the dances, she said, “There was jazz, hip hop and Bollywood dance.” She laughed, “We had a blast, and at a point of time, we even went into the audience and made the spectators dance with us.”
