JOIN USCertain restrictions and diversions will be imposed on Kasturba Road, MG Road (Anil Kumble Junction), Dickenson Road, Kamaraja Road, Ulsoor Road, Queen’s Road, Ambekdar Road and roads inside Cubbon Park between 6 am and 11 am on May 17 in view of TCS World 10K Bangalore-2015 marathon.
The marathon will take off at Kanteerava Stadium and culminate at the same place. The restrictions and diversions are as follows:
n Movement of all vehicles banned on Kasturba Road, MG Road (Anil Kumble Junction), Dickenson Road, Kamaraja Road, Ulsoor Road, Queen’s Road, Ambedkar Road (only on east side of the road) and on roads inside Cubbon Park when the marathon passes through them.
n Vehicles moving towards Vidhana Soudha, Shivajinagar and Raj Bhavan from JC Road can use the following stretch--Police Corner, K G Road, old Post Office and KR Circle.
n Vehicles moving towards Old Madras Road, MG Road, Marathalli and Ulsoor from JC Road and Nrupatunga Road can use Hudson Circle to reach Devanga Road and further move on Mission Road. The vehicles can move on Richmond flyover, Residency Road, Cash Pharmacy and proceed further.
n Vehicles from Shivajinagar should reach Balekundri Circle and move on Cunningham Road, Chandrika Junction, LRDE Junction and reach Basaveshwara Circle and proceed further.
n Vehicles coming from Balekundri Cirlce should compulsorily take a left turn at traffic headquarters and move on Infantry Road.
n Vehicles moving inside Cubbon Park from KR Circle can move on Nrupatunga Road.
n Vehicles from Anil Kumble Cirlce should take a left turn at Queen’s Circle and move on either Lavelle Road or Kasturba Road.
n Entry of vehicles from MG Road and St Marks Road towards BVR Circle is prohibited. Such vehicles will be restricted at Anil Kumble Circle.
n Tempo Travellers and goods vehicles entering the City from Old Madras Road should move on Suranjan Das Road and join Old Airport Road. Similarly, vehicles can move on St John Road from Ulsoor and ply on Cantonment Road and Jayamahal Road to reach Mekhri Circle and proceed further.
n Movement of all types of vehicles on Cubbon Road is banned and hence the vehicles can ply on Infantry Road. Such vehicles can use Dickenson Road, St John Road and Gangadhar Chetty Road to join Old Madras Road.
n All types of vehicles from JC Road moving towards Shivajinagar via Minerva Circle should take a right turn at Bharath Junction on JC Road and move on H Siddaiah Road, Urvashi theatre junction, Kengal Hanumanthaiah Road and Richmond Circle and proceed further.
n Vehicles coming from Old Airport Road, Domlur and surrounding areas moving on MG Road via Trinity Circle will be restricted at ACS Centre. Such vehicles can use ACS to move on India Garage and Palm Groove Road. The vehicles can join Richmond road via D’Souza Circle.
n Parking of vehicles on all the above roads is banned.
nParking facility for the vehicles of those participating in the marathon has been provided at UB City parking lot. General public coming to witness the event can park vehicles at St Joseph Indian High School ground.
