BBMP will hold an intensive cleaning drive in all the 28 Assembly constituencies on Saturday.
This is for the third time such drive is being organised in all Assembly constituencies under Palike limits. BBMP Commissioner G Kumar Naik said that the main objective of the programme is to identify low-lying areas in the City that lacks hygiene and proper sanitation facilities and take up the cleaning programme in such places.
“It is a continuos drive and every week about 28 places will be identified and cleaned by gangmen and the pourakarmikas,” the commissioner said.
As many as 120 civic workers will take up cleaning work from 6:30 am to 1 pm in each constituency, the Palike officials said.
The BBMP commissioner will listen to the grievances of pourakarmikas during interaction programme.
