Two chain snatching incidents were reported in the City on Saturday.
In the first case, two miscreants snatched a gold chain weighing around 30 grams from a Janaki, 60, at JC Nagar in Mahalakshmi Layout in the early hours of the day. According to the police, two persons snatched her gold chain when Janaki came outside to use the toilet at around 4.40 am and fled the spot.
In another incident, a Rama, 35, a resident of Hunasamaranahalli near Sunkadkatte Road, was taking her dog for a walk in a nearby eucalyptus groove at around 9.45 pm, while a miscreant came from behind, closed her eye with a help of a piece of cloth and tried to snatch away her gold chain weighing 80 grams. But Rama fought back and held onto the chain and started shouting for help. The miscreant fled the spot with 30 grams of the chain, while the rest of the chain is with the victim.
Cases has been registered in Mahalakshmi Layout and Yelahanka police station.
