<p>A 30-year-old car driver met a watery grave in Kadiganahalli lake near Chikkajala on Thursday evening.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The police identified the deceased as Farooq Shah, a native of Kunigal. <br /><br />On Thursday evening, Shah had come to the City along with three friends on a personal visit. They went towards Kadiganahalli lake. Shah decided to wash his car and took the vehicle near the lakebed. He stepped into the water, ventured a little further and started drowning.<br /><br />His friends sitting on the lakebed noticed Shah drowning and started shouting for help.<br /><br />Passersby tried to rescue Shah, but in vain. They informed the police, who with the help of fire service and emergency personnel, retrieved the body.<br /><br />A case has been registered in the Chikkajala police station.<br /></p>
