<p>Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty has received an extortion demand of Rs 10 crore, allegedly from underworld don Ravi Poojary on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Confirming it to Deccan Herald, the MLA said he received a call from a person identifying himself as Ravi Poojary at 12.30 pm, demanding Rs 10 crore. <br /><br />The caller spoke in Tulu. After the first call, he called the MLA thrice. Later, the MLA informed Udupi SP K Annamalai, who in turn asked the MLA to seek police protection.<br />The MLA is yet to decide on seeking police protection.</p>
