<p>A woman’s body was found floating in a drain in west Delhi’s Baprola on Monday morning, the police said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The police have registered a case of murder against unknown people and investigation has been started.<br /><br />The body which bears multiple stab wounds was first spotted by morning walkers in the area, the police said.<br /><br /> “A man who had come for morning walk informed the police about a body floating in the drain. We fished it out and found several stab wounds on it,” said a police officer.<br /><br />The woman has been identified as Pinki (40), and the police have kept her body in a mortuary after conducting post-mortem. <br /><br />Pinki had been living in Baprola village with her daughter Madhu (18), for the last few months. <br /><br />Her husband Jaswant Singh lives in Lakhimpur Khiri and works as farm labourer. Pinki had also come to Delhi to work as a farm labourer. <br /><br />According to the police, she was working in a farm.<br /><br />Pinki’s daughter told the police that on Sunday evening around 4 pm, her mother told her that she was going to Nangloi to search for a new place to work. <br /><br />However, when she didn’t return even at late night, her daughter starterted searching for her. When she couldn’t found her anywhere, Madhu returned home.<br /><br />In the morning when Madhu went to police station to lodge a missing complaint of her mother, she got to know about the body of a woman being found from a drain. Madhu was shown the body and she identified her mother.<br /><br />The police have informed Pinki’s husband also about her death and he was coming to Delhi to collect her body.<br /><br />The police are hoping to find some clues after speaking to Pinki’s husband. <br /><br />Meanwhile, the police are aslo speaking to the previous employers of the woman and finding out if she had any dispute or fight with anyone.</p>
